PBDE and Metabolites, BFRs, and PFRs
Brominated Flame Retardants (BFRs) are a group of man-made chemical compounds used in a wide spectrum of commercial products such as textiles, building supplies, and electrical equipment. The most commonly used BFRs are, Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs), a class of chemicals that bioaccumulate and have been linked to health risks such as endocrine disruption and cancer.
Our Flame Retardant Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) include a comprehensive selection of single component standards for selective identification of all 209 PBDE congeners as well as select metabolites, Fluorinated PBDE congeners, Phosphorous Flame Retardants, Bromophenols and Polychlorinated Diphenyl Ethers (PCDEs). We also offer multiple component mixtures for USEPA Methods 527, 1614, ISO/DIS 22032 and EN 16694.
