Antioxidant Standards for Jet Fuel
Chemical additives are generally used to help improve Aviation Fuel performance and stability as well as reduce maintenance costs. While Phenolic Antioxidants are added to prevent gum formation due to oxidation, Anti Icing agents are added to increase water solubility and lower fuel freezing point. Our fuel additive Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) are offered to help identify and quantify these additives and to ensure Aviation Fuels specifications are met for both petroleum based aviation fuel and synthetic aviation fuel.
