AccuStandard's Poster Presentation at NACRW 2023

AccuStandard is participating in the poster presentations at the North American Chemical Residue Workshop (NACRW), currently underway in Fort Lauderdale, FL from July 23 to 26. Our poster introduces the analytical work for 85 pesticides commonly found in cannabis and cannabis-related products. Most of these compounds are also part of the target list of analytes in ASTM Test Method D8399 and AOAC SMPR 2018.011.

The work describes how the use of high-quality Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) along with the selection of appropriate analytical methodology is critical to accurately identify these contaminates.

The objective of this work is to provide technical guidance to laboratories that offer cannabis testing services in order to achieve reliable and accurate analysis when testing for residual pesticides. The analysis of these compounds is critical to ensure to safety of consumer products and to reduce exposure to these chemicals in both medicinal and recreational application.

All CRMs used in this work were prepared by AccuStandard and based on the stability and compatibility of each compound. Both LC-MS and GC-MS were utilized to help accurately identify all compounds.
