On August 6, 2024 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the emergency suspension of all registrations of the pesticide dimethyl tetrachloroterephthalate (Dacthal or DCPA) under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).

USEPA Takes Action on Organophosphate Pesticides

Colorado's Marijuana Enforcement Division is expanding the list of residual pesticides subject to testing and has defined new action limits. AccuStandard has designed reference standards to help labs reliably and efficiently meet these new requirements.
Nitrosamine CRMs designed for Regulatory Requirements

AccuStandard offers N-nitrosamine CRMs designed for the latest regulatory requirements. 2023 has been an eventful year for research and regulation of nitrosamines in food and drugs. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the German Federal Institute on Risk Assessment (BfR) both expressed concern for health risks related to human exposure to nitrosamines in food.

AccuStandard's Poster Presentation at NACRW 2023

AccuStandard is participating in the poster presentations at the North American Chemical Residue Workshop (NACRW), currently underway in Fort Lauderdale, FL from July 23 to 26. Our poster introduces the analytical work for 85 pesticides commonly found in cannabis and cannabis-related products. Most of these compounds are also part of the target list of analytes in ASTM Test Method D8399 and AOAC SMPR 2018.011.

Nitrosamines In Food & Pharmaceuticals

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is currently evaluating how to control and monitor Nitrosamines in food. Exposure to N-nitrosamines can cause serious health risks due to their well-known carcinogenic and genotoxic effects. From cured meat to cereal, N-nitrosamines can be found in different foodstuffs as well as pharmaceuticals. AccuStandard offers N-nitrosamines CRMs, including standards for the new ASTM Test Method D8456.

New FDA and EPA PFAS Standards for Food and Water

AccuStandard is excited to introduce new high quality CRMs for the analysis of PFAS in Drinking Water and Food. New products include multiple component mixes M-533 and PFAS-FDA which are designed for PFAS testing in accordance with USEPA 533 and USFDA C-010.02. We have also expanded our single component PFAS standards with new CRMs for Fluorotelomer alcohols (FTOHs) and Short-chain PFAS.
